STRANGLES - NEW INFORMATION JULY 2026

Strangles Outbreak Update (Current) Strangles has been confirmed and affecting a number of foals on Whitchurch Down and Whitchurch Commons. Ponies in these areas are being closely monitored by the Dartmoor Livestock Protection Officer (DLPO) and local keepers. Following Veterinary advice: Please give equines plenty of space and do not disturb. These essential precautions aim to protect animal welfare and help prevent further spread of infection.
