Strangles Outbreak Update

Strangles has been confirmed on Walkhampton, Peter Tavy, Shaugh Prior and Sheepstor Commons. Ponies in these areas are being closely monitored by the Dartmoor Livestock Protection Officer (DLPO) and local keepers.

Following veterinary advice:

• Please give all equines plenty of space
• Do not disturb livestock

These precautions are essential to protect animal welfare and help prevent further spread of infection.
